Designing for a Century of Fraternity — Harp of Erin 567 IC

For the centenary celebration of Lodge Harp of Erin 567 IC, one of India’s most historic Masonic Lodges under the Irish Constitution, Chickoo Designs was invited to design a souvenir book that would encapsulate not just 100 years of legacy, but the deeper essence of Freemasonry — its rituals, its values, and its enduring fraternity.

The project was steeped in heritage. From beautifully penned forewords and historical timelines to heartfelt messages from distinguished Brethren, the souvenir was a mosaic of memory, service, and symbolism. Our design approach was driven by reverence — for tradition, for geometry, and for storytelling.

We created a layout system that merged classic typographic sensibilities with modern editorial clarity. The balance between formality and warmth was carefully preserved — using clean serif typefaces, symbolic motifs, and structured grids that echo the Lodge’s architectural and philosophical foundations. The design subtly reflects the principles of order, light, and fraternity that Freemasonry is known for.

Every detail — from the texture of the pages to the structure of the chapter openings — was curated to celebrate a journey that began in 1924, traveled across Calcutta, Bombay, and Madras, and continues today in Chennai. The souvenir acts not just as a commemorative publication, but as a timeless archive of brotherhood and ritual — one that speaks to generations past and those yet to come.

For us at Chickoo Designs, this wasn’t just a book — it was a privilege to design history.
